Let me know if you have any rigging ideas or if you're in the north jersey area and want to head out. the maiden voyage will be happening saturday. unfortunately i think a champagne bottle would dent the bow.

Congrats !!!!! Best of luck with your new "toy" I don't think the kayak will break, but I don't think the bottle will break either !!! LOL Keep it simple with the rigging and let me know if you need a few ideas for the type of fishing you will be doing. If you want it set up perfect, bring it over to the kayakfishingstore in Fairfield and Jon will set it up and install everything you will need.

Nice toy!!
First order of bussiness, if your gonna do all freshwater, paint that bad boy a more drab color...If not than good choice for safety reasons:p
Some guys like the anchor trolly system where as i prefer a small pulley and a cleat...Anchor is just a MUST have in river system....I use an old five pound window sash weigh, as it does not snag the bottom and in fast water will slow you down nicely.....Other than that its all a matter of preference for the type of fishing and waters that you will encounter....
Best of luck with thenew ride:)

Thanks guys!
@Bigfishy - I got it as a floor demo (gotta save money somehow on these things) so it came with a few accessories preinstalled, an anchor trolley being one of them. I know exactly the type of weight you're talking about. Great idea. Thanks!
@nutleysigns - will let yo know!

.
Welcome to the dark side.
I had issues with the traditional 1.5 lb. "kayak anchor" fouling with weeds and allowing the kayak to drift. Now I use a full 8 lb. mushroom anchor when I fish muddy, weedy areas and the kayak stays put.
What model is that?

thanks eskimo. pa12 w/the vantage seat. I'm sure the thing will drift hard in the wind. Thanks for the input on the anchor!
