Whats up people! I haven't posted a new thread on here especially one including pictures in a while. Hit the twin bridges area for a bit yes in redemption of my miserable showing at the bass meet and greet up in swartswood this past Saturday. Did ok with 4 largemouth, one descent pike, and a yellow perch? I thought those perch were bait in this water but anyway all the fish were super healthy looking especially the bass. Unfortunately I didn't get the phone out until I caught the perch but nonetheless here they are below.

Nice mixed bag. I had a nice Yellow Perch wack my big spinnerbait a few weeks ago at 2 Bridges too. There's probably a nice population of them, but who targets them lol.

I was thinking about putting a hook in him and droppin him right back down. That stretch of river always has me very confused though. Do you guys paddle up into the great piece meadows at all and how do you do? Also what's the deal with the private property signs in the river saying no fishing?

I don't know. It looks like the state closed that section of the river to fishing. Screw that.

The Great Piece Meadow Preserve is open to the general public. It is used for passive recreational use such as hiking, biking, bird watching, nature observation and study, wildlife photography, and/or passive, non-consumptive recreational uses.

Most of the Preserve is closed to hunting, trapping, fishing, driving and baiting of wildlife, and shooting, using, or traversing the property with gun or bow...

Fishing IS allowed there. Here is a link that says so. http://nj.gov/dep/njnlt/greatpiecemeadows.htm

"The public is welcome to hike and fish on the preserve."

there have been problems in the past with the nature groups in that area erroneously posting no hunting/no fishing on land that they don't manage. best bet is to just listen to what the state has to say about it.

Thank you for that clarification.

I went back there once and saw some tree stands set up. Something about being a potential moving target for a bored hunter made me a bit uneasy, lol.........
