Bass-a-thon Wrap Up 2013!!!

I arrived on the site at 530m AM, nobody else in sight. Shortly after the fellas started rolling in. There was 9 of us all together when the head count was done, alot of guys that swore they would be there never showed. WHATEVER!!! We always have a GREAT time without the other guys anyway. Dboyd took first place with a 4 lb 1 oz LM, and that just so happens to be a PB for him. Dboyd received 125 BUCKS for that catch. SkillfulAngler came in 2nd place with a 2 lb 3 oz LM, he won 55 BUCKS and an AWESOME snow globe that David donated to the cause. Morning started off slow with no fish caught til around 1030-11 am. Thats when Dboyd got his PB and winner of the contest. ScowardNJ caught a 3 lb 9 oz LM with his bare hands that unfortunately did not count. Fish was dying or something. I just missed 2nd place with a 2 lb 2 oz LM, OH WELL!!! Great to be out with a bunch of members regardless of the fishing. Couple dinks were caught as well as a couple Pickeral and 1 Brown trout that was caught by Moz on a senco!!!! WTF!!!! Ended the day at my truck with a few beers and some GREAT fish stories. Thanx a lot for coming out fellas, It means alot to me!!! GOOD TIMES, TIGHT LINEZ!!! :D

Would have loved to join everyone today but had to go to the beach w/ the wife to make up for last weekend not going kayaking the Delaware due to weather conditions....Are you going to have another meetup, maybe Sept. or Oct, when the real slobs will be filling up before winter....LMK...I'm in if so....Looks like fun was had today!!!

Sounds like a hell of a time was had by all. I really wish I could have been out there today. Figures the one weekend this year I had to work was this one. :mad: Anyway, I'll catch you guys at the next one for sure.

Was a great day, and I'd say that however it turned out! Nice to meet a good group of guys. I never fish with anyone so it was good to get out there with some people! If anyone is ever fishing the Oakland area give me a shout.

Keep in mind its the same guy for the trout opening day meet and greet caught a slob smallie but no trout. This specific species thing is tricky! Lol

Great time yesterday guys! Congrats to Dboyd on the PB and big fish of the day. Thanks to Fasteddie for being an awesome host with the donuts and sodas. Gatto has the pics of my little 2nd place football, I'll post it up soon as I get it. Good times BS'in afterwards, if anyone is ever in the RR area I'd be glad to help you out with some spots.

Thanks for everyone that came out... It's great to put faces with the names.... I had a great time... I had to cut out of the competion at around 12:30 because I recieved a phone call from the "Mother in Law" who was watching my 2 year old son locked herself out of the house.. LOL :eek: Early on I had 3 or 4 big blow up swipe and misses fishing in the weeds/pads but I managed 2 bass about 1lb each and I netted a 6 inch tiger musky or pure strain (i can't tell) back at the dock/launch when I was loading my boat on to the trailor. I tried to load the pic of the musky on here but its not converting off of my iphone...

Anyway had a blast guys... Can't wait til we do it again...

Great meeting up with you guys Saturday. Congrats to DBoyd on the PB for the win. I still thinks its funny i drive an hour to Swartzwood to meet a dude that lives a few blocks from me, haha. I think Flyboy might have a pic of that dying 3lber i hand picked out of the lake...no way i would of culled my 0.6lbr for that sorry bass...haha Great time Bs'n in the parking lot....Any discussions in that lot, stay in that lot! On the drive home i decided to drop the yak in a river that begins P for shot at a quality fish...
