River Quickie, Nice Bass........

I havnt had the chance to get out much lately so I threw the boat in from 7-8:30 last night. I was happy to see the conditions lookin a little better but unfortunately I was sharing the stretch with a couple jetskiers. :mad: Still managed to hook up with a hefty lmb on a spinnerbait. Not the same one I lost recently since I was in a different area, and not quit as big, but a nice bass none the less. 3-4 pounder. Switched over to topwater around 8, missed one good blowup and that was it. Def nice to get out for a bit........

Nice bass dude! I was fishing the same stretch from shore and those jetskiers were are real pain. River has lowered a bit for sure but the weeds are starting to really fill in. I threw spinners and some top water from about 7-9 with no luck. Had one follow but it wasnt my night. Hope to give it another go tonight.

+3 with the jet skiers lol. I was in the same area from 7-9pm. The first time I saw them, the younger guy actually sped up when he was passing me while the older guy maintained his speed and waved lol. 2nd time they approached me, they were ripping it up pretty good, then came to a complete stop about 20ft from me. Beautiful fish-scaring, kayak bouncing wakes both times :) .

Was a slow night for me also. Nada on spinnerbaits or topwater...

No I didnt see anyone fishing with waders, however I did see someone across the river chucking lures as well. I was suprised to see the river getting so much action (jetskis/fishing) last night. Im going to have to make an effort to get my yak on there just before sunset. I commute home from midtown so I dont usually get to river until after dark. When I get the chance during the week I try and get out late night and chase some channel cats. Which so far this year hasnt been as good to me as years past on the river

Thanx man! Can't commit to the bass battle cause I'm actually "Tying the Knot" a week and a half after. :eek: And no, I don't mean fishing line, lol....... Gotta see if I can sneak away from all the last minute errands and try to make it out for a couple hours.

Nice bass dude! I love the surprise passaic bass while pike fishing. Every bass I've ever caught out of that river was extremely fat, no matter how long it was.

Had one last year up by Florham park that was shaped like a Nerf football. Shortest 2 lb bass I've ever caught!!! Crushed a black buzz bait.
