While fishing at the Shark River Yesterday, mixed in with the Snappers were the TINKER MACKS. They came for a visit. They were in the river in during both tides, but all over the place in little packs during the incoming tide. I caught about 25 of them, and had a Fluke on one as well.

No pictures. For the members who know me, I never lie in my reports.

Great Surprise!

Your word is good as far as I am concerned Snapper, and you are right on the money with your report. Yesterday they were also mixed in with the snappers at Manasquan inlet and were being caught on sabiki rigs along with the snappers and being used as bait for fluke. Good report.

If they are Sardine size take some of those Tinkers and freeze them in a little saltwater or vacuum bag and save them for Tuna baits .

They were about 4-6"s.
6" to 8" would be good for chunking baits .
