Had a few hours before the afternoon shift, so threw the canoe in the truck and hit a lake down the street from work, threw everything plus the kitchen sink with only one swing and a miss. Finally went to the old trustee, an ultralight and a coffee can of worms, had a ball with the sunnies and some halfway decent crappies...yea, yea, i know the picture stinks, it is my first cell phone,.........and possibly my last

Horrible picture man, come on! LOL! Props for catching them in a canoe. I did a lot of canoe fishing a few summers ago, definitely not easy! Nice report!

Hey I got my own boat and this time of year it is the same...fish for the large ones and go to the ones that are eager to bite. I love catching crappies, sunnies, etc with my 2 wt fly rod that I always carry. These guys are usually always hungry and give a large bend in the lightweight fly rod. There should never be any apologies for switching tactics and going for what will actually bite on a hot summer day....a bend in the rod and fish in the boat is, well...
