Just hit bass pro in foxboro mass and was rather impressed. I've also been to Harrisburg as well. However I think cabelas in PA is still the best, even better than their Hartford store. Any opinions?

Cabelas in PA is a dominant force. There is no comparison. Cabelas all the way.

Bass pro is opening in Sayreville next year and I'd still rather got to cabellas. Just my .02

Personally I have lil interest in any nj store. Being a NY resident it means I can't buy guns or ammo which is always something I look at in these stores. Pa and Conn have reasonable laws. Nj and Mass are almost a waste except I was by Foxboro for work so no reason not to stop.

the Cabela's in Hamburg, PA is their flagship store. it's the best Cabela's that there is. so to top that would really take some doing.

I'll believe that when I'm in it. Have heard about this store for a couple of years...so where is it?
Hamburg Cabela's... I have smoked my credit card there on a number of occasions. Even the wife likes it for casual clothes and shoes;)

same thing for the cabela's at the meadowlands, i mean xanadu, i mean the meadowlands, i mean american dream meadowlands... well whatever you call it, you can't miss the big cabela's beige and green building at the corner of rt 3 and rt 120... that's been sitting empty for the past 10 years :(

A BPS is also supposedly in the works for Atlantic City as well.

When I lived in St Louis, I had a BPS and a Cabela's within 15 minutes of each other, and I frequented both. Plus, there was a West Marine in the same shopping center as the BPS, so between the 3 I could usually find whatever I needed.

Bill Dance always told me to shop at Walmart.

Has anyone been in a large gander Mt? I heard they have ponds to try out small boats inside. I've been in a few that were mediocre at best.

The gander mountain in Middletown is a small store but has a decent selection of stuff. I go there quite a bit. Ive been to the Cableas in harrisburg, big store but most of what I was looking for wasnt in stock, had to order it anyway. Havent been to BPS store, but had 1000 in giftcards earlier this year, and I sold 500 of them cause I couldnt find what I needed. Cabelas by far has the better selection and is geared more towards the walleye/alternative species guys. BPS is basically a bass fishing store, if thats your deal then thats the best store for you.....

Middletown store is OK but they messed around with a lot of dumb sections like scuba. Now the don't even sell rowboats, wtf.
