I catch them in the Delaware river. They eat everything in sight. Not sure where this lake is but I know Flatheads are doing well on the Big D!!!

NJDF&W hasn’t gotten any catch reports from lakes.
Recent reports from Lambertville are channel cats (5 lber’s are common) on every cast. Flatheads are few & far between.
Last year, Riegelsville was the hot spot for flatheads. This year, in May, we electrofished 18” & 20” flatheads @ the bridge abutments, there. Missed a bigger one.

Not many people here from south jersey, you and I are in the minority....
I haven't really fished Kirkwood in a while, but that place is kind of a dump. At one point is was extremely polluted. There was a sherwan williams nearby that got shut down and they contaminated it pretty bad (lead and arsenic if I recall correctly). I believe there was an effort to clean it up, but I still don't think its all that great for fishing. If you're close by I guess its worth a shot, but I probably wouldn't waste a whole day there or anything.
Just found this from Sept of 2012 http://sj.sunne.ws/2012/09/05/kirkwood-lake-residents-are-still-concerned-about-contamination/

kirkwood lake is now very clean and the fish especially bass are thriving very well. I have caught plenty of bass over 4 lbs. The carp fishing is also excellent.
Don't be afraid to go there you wont be disappointed.

I just wanted to post this informational pic from NJ Fish & game that shows the difference between the Channel catfish (good) and the Flathead (invasive - bad).
I wonder where these Flatheads came from. Could somebody have taken upon themselves to stock them in New Jersey?

Somehow, they were stocked in Blue Marsh Res.
From there, they entered the Schyukill, & on to the Del.R.

Hahahahahahahahahaha, look at my reports from last July- August. Plenty of Flatheads In the Big D. Want more proof, I know 20 other guys who catch em almost regularly. They are non members so you won't see a post from them.
