Managed to hit some type of water every day this week,First up was the Raritan for smallies and wasn't disappointed.Bounced around between Manville and south bound brook bagging around 20 smallies from 12" to 4 lbs.Tossed a ton of stuff but they only wanted 3"berkley shads.Next was Milton lake for channels,Ive heard of some big ones in there but not for me.Tried deep water,near structure,and under cuts and all I got was a huge snappin turtle.Wed I hit the rocks for some fluke,hopped a couple jettys but only brought 2 shorts to hand and dropped one keeper while swinging him onto the rocks,bucktails close to the rocks got the most action.Also talked to and old salt that has been doing very well using sand bugs 4 at a time casting onto the sand bars for bass.Thursday was a repeat of Monday back to the Raritan for smallies and kittys,drifted crawlers thru holes for mix of bullheads and channels nothing big though smallies still wanted only swim shads.Friday after a dentists appt.stopped at the rahway river for some LMB bagging 5 in short order.
