Had a training up in Bucks so I had to bring the rods. got to my spot at 4 on the dot only to find it inaccessible due to reeds triied to bust through em but just to many so i wandered around looking for another spot on the lake found 1 where i caught basses & saw salmon roaming in the past. tossed out the chum and before i had a rod in i saw 1 hoovering in the slick. got the rods out & the piranhas were relentless eating the baits finally had a bite @ 5:10pm & lost him after a 25 minute battle this was a PIG! I did my dude with sleeveless shirt on the bounty hunter impression & was tossing fbombs like rice at a wedding this thing had to be 20-30lbs looked like a bunker bass when it rolled.

I calmed myself & got set up again around 6:00 both rods go off & I land the first salmon of the year. had another run off as soon as i got the rods back in & lost it but i thought it was bout to go cray cray then here comes a guy in some row raft thingy right through my chum! guy said sorry he didn't see me. so about 30 minutes goes by get another bite & i lose em. @ 7:00 i have another double land 1. get rods back in, 1 goes off immediately & i land #3 & the carps are leaping errywhere!then at 745 here comes the twp fire department in a motor boat doing practice drills right by my slick & we all know how much carp love disturbances on the water!nothing until about 8:30 had a nice run off & missed it. packed up & left at 8:45

so ended going 3-9 no real monsters all 5-10lbs. all the panfish 1 could want as they were ripping the corn from my hooks, well as a few large & smallmouth swimming around but i ain'tgot time for them. also saw a ginormo black water snake. gonna give it a go tomorrow after work i hope. all fish caught on 6 & 8lb test, size 10 & 8 hooks with corn on fishfinder rigs, fish wanted the baits weighed down didn't get a touch on the weightless rig.1 last thing how carp are not more prized i will not know they fight harder then anything else i have caught in freshwater except maybe shad. follow links for pics

I'm right with ya on that notion man. Carp put up an awesome fight, so much fun. Most of my fishing lately has been for em

The one time I was in the right place at the right time at the Faber dam on the Susky and was catching Walleye's pretty good. Had maybe 3 or 4 decent size in 20 minutes.
Shamokin Dam fire and rescue company shows up to practice rescuing a person in the water. Boats, ropes, bullhorns. I feel you pain:mad:
