Despite the downpour on Tuesday, something told me I needed to be on the water. So, after work, I grabbed my rain gear and headed to a local honey hole. I was not disappointed, as I caught 4 decent bass, including one that was around 3 lbs. I also managed to catch two carp under a mulberry tree, using said berries as bait. I left after 2 hours, soggy but happy.
Today I had the same idea, hoping the rains had cooled the water temperatures and turned the bite on. I hit up Spring Lake, and picked up right where I left off. I bagged 5 bass, including one that went 2.63 lbs on my brand new digital scale.
All bass hit either a buzzbait or a weedless frog. Most fish were holed up in emergent or matted vegetation located close to concrete walls. I took my new Daiwa Viento out for its first real workout today, and it performed admirably, easily winching bass out of heavy weeds.
Pics of the two carp are below.

Great video!
Although, I couldn't quite get comfortable with the music. Perhaps these songs might have a place in your videos:

Great video thanks Lard. I get sick of hearing country music in every hunting and fishing video I see, this was a nice change.

Okay, here's another good fishing song. It's about a Flathead Catfish and not a bass, but I still like it.

I detest country music, and classic rock has been done to death. I wanted something a little more pulse-pounding for the topwater bites. Because a big bass blasting a buzzbait is METAL! \m/

Alright.
Here's a metal fishing song. Not my favorite Primus tune.
