Are we making threads about threads on other sites now? I thought we didn't like it when another site did that to us...
Not giving my approval or anything, just seems exactly the same as what you were complaining about happening on GST

A.) Bass season is closed.

What they did to Outofline was just plain wrong for catching a stocked trout on public waters in season.

I find this is a prime example why fishing license sales are down.

In a way you are correct, going after another web site is wrong, but really, you gotta give me this one.

What gets me is he is an older gentleman. The thrill other than "POINTS" you get on the website I guess is the main attraction. A man of his age should be going to F&G meetings, helping children at fishing derbies, promoting good skills and a love for the sport and proper handling of fish so future generations can enjoy a long lasting sport.
A 19" largemouth for "points" ? I just don't get it.

Is this the same angler with the 100 plus rainbows out of rv in 80 degree water?

No not the same angler that caught over 100 rainbows at night on Round Valley. Funny thing about all that, it ALMOST closed night fishing on Round Valley. Just got off the phone with GetAnet and we talked about night rainbow fishing at RV. A few nights it gets going good, I get one bleeding, doesn't look good, I got my limit, I pull anchor and head for the barn. I had a good time, caught some fish.

Looks like that striper is a good 20 inches !

That's a sad sight. Nothing looks more unnatural to me than someone holding a bass by the gills.

I know I'm probably asking a dumb question on an already heated thread but is the issue that he seems to have mauled the bass he's bragging about? I totally get that. I felt bad when my son gut-hooked a sunny and certainly wouldn't be proudly displaying the poor little guy. In his notes, he alleges that the blood was from a single treble hook and quickly stopped before the fish was sent happily in his way. Still in bad taste at minimum but is there more to the story here?

Re: handling fish, I certainly wouldn't mind getting some constructive advice on the topic if any of my pics ever prompt it... I think a lot of us could use a friendly "ya know, it's better for the fish for you to do x..." every now and then.

Regardless of the explaination that photo does nothing good for the sport of fishing. He has had many, many photos of fish posted on there covered in blood. Like I said, for a 60 some year old man to be posting photos of bleeding bass before June 15th is just not good common sense. This person should take up golf.

Both pics are terrible!!! They should NOT have been posted by the users. Undersized and or out of season = 2 dead fish! A little bit of commonsense goes a long way people... What does a non fisherperson think when they see the blood?? Like Andy said, it is not good for our sport...

He's trying to say that the fish didn't die. I'm willing to give Dennis Huskins the benefit of the doubt and assume he's not a poacher and a liar. He might just be a complete moron with too much free time on his hands. His family must be proud.

You would think that somebody who spends this much time fishing would know how to hold a bass rather than sticking his nasty fingers into its gills.

All his other pics are pretty bad, too.

Yup, he has no idea how to hold a bass, yet he apparently spends ALL his time fishing. This loser needs to get a job.

Some more of this loser's photos:

Ok, totally understood. I've noticed that there is a subset of posters on fishing sites who seem to be more interested in the score keeping than the game, so to speak. You can see it in their pictures and tell from their descriptions. They're all about how many and how big and there's nothing in there about the fun of the experience or the fishing itself... and the fish are entirely secondary. They're just props. That's pretty sad.

I get bummed when I accidentally kill a fish, especially one that I can’t keep. This guy seems proud of himself.

And LMB are the easiest fish to handle with a simple jaw grip. Why would anyone risk killing fish with that gill-grab?
