Well I spent a bunch of money on some f-18's and our original plan was to head up around 5 today and make the 2 hour drive to hopatcong. This would be our first time fishing for walleye and hybrids. Anyone else going to brave the weather tonight? Am I completely wasting my time?

I would stay home.

I fished there a few times after a heavy rain, the water was brown and covered with lawn clippings and tree branches.

I haven't been up since last week, but a few friends were up there over the weekend and said it was fairly slow and currently NO WAKE due to the higher water levels.

How long does the shallow water walleye action usually last? Id hate for these lures to go to waste.

No wake isn't so bad. It keeps some of speed racers off the lake!

According to last years reports, guys were still getting them in late june and early july, but obviously things change year to year. I think you still have a few weeks before the water gets too warm.

You have at least 4-5 weeks to get in on the night bite. Look forward to seeing your report when you get em.
