Rules and Compensation-Motivation- *$20 per person/entry..... additional $5 per person if participating in the bonus Tiger Musky contest............................ *Artificials Only
- 1st and 2nd place awarded for heaviest Bass (can be largemouth or smallmouth).......... 1st (70% prize pool) and 2nd (30% prize pool).

I decided on Little Swartswood because it's a nice small-intimate (but deep) lake with little to no pressure and there definitely is some very nice monsters in there and as a bonus its home to the Tiger Muskie so we could have some bonuses going for catching one of those bad boys too... I figured it would be a good time with everyone being within shouting distance of each other to talk some shit and observe actual catches as they happen... and I could almost guarantee that it would prolly just be all NJfishing members occupying the water....

I had a long talk with Andy S. on the phone earlier and I didn't mean to alienate anyone or make it difficult for people in South and Central Jersey to make this meet n greet.... It was just an idea that kind of got a life of its own and then I was bombarded by PM's with overwhelming interest... I will say that for those who make the effort to participate in this great meet n greet I can guarantee that the trip to little swartswood will be well worth everyone's time... it will be incredible... I will guarantee that most of you (if not all) will probably catch one your biggest bass of the year at this place... It would be damn near impossible for anyone to be skunked at this place....:cool: and someone may catch the elusive tiger musky for the bonus jackpot.... :)

Very true! Still limited parking at the big lake. The main ramp can fit 5-6 trucks and trailers and on top of that everyone will have to pay an extra 10-12 bucks to get into the state park and launch whatever craft they'll be using. Love that lake, tons of time spent there. And they have some monster Smallies. Hmmmmmmm!!!!

Lil Swartswood could easily fit 25 - 30 boaters or more... and as Eddie said the big lake has limited parking... but we will try to keep an accurate running head count and then make alternate determination if need be.. but I dont foresee any probs at the moment...

Ok we are less than 2 weeks away from this Kick Ass event... i would like to get a accurate running head count... in the following posts could you please list your name if you are intending to participate... just list your name first- followed with a question or comment... I want to keep this organized.... I just want to make sure that this is a worth while event for all those that make the effort to come on out... I guarantee if you love fishing for some killer Bass (LARGE OR SMALL MOUTHS) or the elusive Tiger musky than this is a must.. Also, there is Walleye and hybrid Tiger Trout in this lake too. Fished the lake on Saturday for a few hours wi 2 other guys.we picked up 1 bass... I had some massive blow ups on a frog but only came tight once and whatever it was cut clean through 25 lb power pro.

Just so you guys know a pretty large chunk of the lake is roped off. There is an active eagles nest. Also the shore to about 20-25 feet from shore is thick with grass.

How large of a chunk? Are we talking a quarter of the lake or half the lake? It's not that big a lake and I know they tend to keep you pretty clear of those eagles when they got a little one around.

Eagles nest has been there for years. Cant go past the buoys. And yes its a weedy bowl!!! But there are some rather large Largemouth in there.

Yeah, they do that every year on the right side but the fishing isn't that great over on that side and you can still fish and cast in that area.


The lake is weedy in some spot but has really nice open patches to lay it cleanly right in the weed line for the Big ones... I love fishing that lake....

PS... Shut up about the frog... your giving away my secret for killing it on that lake..... ;)

I do believe this is the same weekend me and my wife are going to a family barbque in Swartswood State Park...I may not be able to fish, but I will make it a point to stop by at weigh in to meet a few of the guys on the site.....we were there 2 weeks ago for the first time and didn't fish that day either, but was talking to the ranger and he said nice Smallies, Larrys and Walleyes in the lake on deep rock drop offs.....the lake looked beautiful and I wish I had brought a rod w/ me that day....

Its not the vacation that was pricey. The fuel pump in my Silverado went 2 days before vacation, 1500 bucks just because the damn fuel pump is in the gas tank. I miss the good old days when the fuel pump was easily accessible. Its all better now but the timing really sucked. Ill be swinging for the fences saturday using 18 inch water snakes for bait.:D

Is the start time 7 AM as indicated in the thread? I thought it was moved to 6 AM, I probably miseed it being moved back to 7 somewhere in the thread but getting up at 4 and getting up at 5 is a big difference! lol

6am start time....... reason being is its obviously better fishing in the early morning, we can finish the contest early and not be battling the sun all day...

there is still one seat open for anyone else interested....

PS... the weather is going to be perfect tomorrow.... 70- 80's all day and no wind... outstanding
