Had the kids and the dog with options limited. Settled on the WV hike around the pond to get me some fishing in, the dog some swimming time, and some exercise. We make a left from the parking lot and crossed the pond at the damb near the water falls. Man what a few weeks can do...the whole shoreline nearly choked with weeds and me packing the wrong lures:rolleyes: Saw lots of nice bass in the grass, just nothing to throw at em that would not pull 5 lbs of weeds along for the ride. Great hike, dog swam, I shook off the skunk with a few bluegills. Not really expecting to fish today, I actually found a slight bend in the rod and everyone went home happy, the dog super happy:cool:

pretty much any one you can get a clear jump into the water is safe...water is very deep on that side...before jumping i always used to swim out there first and check for any sticks or debris in the water then give it a go

Man I wish this place had a boat launch area. Guys carrying a canoe/kayak would do very well there. Since most of the shoreline is now choked with weeds, fishing the edge or even through them may be very productive.

Jumping off the Rocks.... I need to see it happen and where before my crew takes the plunge. There are certainly interesting possibilities and it would not take much to go over the cliff, but we need to know where!
