Open boat trips both AM & PM.

AM: Bass - what bass? Fluked for the last hour and a half and some keepers and shorts. We got 5-6 keepers to the boat all on bucktails, gulp, and fresh bunker. Fluking is GOOD. If we did it longer we could've filled up box.

PM: Capt Kenny at the helm. Bass- what bass? S wind kicked up. No bites and a 2 wells full of bunker. Then... The steering cable went - had to call it a very early day. Bob, fill in the rest below LOL. :D

Bassing has to get better! Good to see fluking GOOD and from my sources, seabass, cod n ling got the feedbags on so at least, until the bass show, we have options!

As the Capt. said, PM trip went awry. First of all let me point out I saw Capt Allen as I was headed down the dock, he said, the morning trip was not what he had hoped. He wished us luck and continued up the dock. However with my astute powers of observation and the way the Capt. scurried to his vehicle, I knew something was amiss. We left the dock with Capt. Kenny firmly in command and we arrived at our first drop. We were reading fish but not able to get them to feed at wich point Capt Kenny said reel up and we would make a slight adjustment. Lo and behold the steering cables were locked up and the boat wouldn't turn. The Capt and crew worked diligently to fix the problem, but were unable to do so. And we called for a tow.
After discussion with the rest of the fishing party we all agreed that there could only be one answer.........sabotage.......I believe Capt Allen (unhappy with A.M. results) wanted to make Capt Kenny look bad so he sabotaged the steering cables so that we would all long for his return. Well Capt Allen, it didn't work!!!! We all still have faith in Capt Kenny.

In reality, although not much fishing......still was fun to be on the water, talking fishing, baseball, concerts and other stuff.

Capt Allen and Capt Kenny were gracious to offer free passes for our next trip.....Thank You

See you soon,
Bob Foley
