Fished the back bay and river of the Shark River on Saturday. It was cold, but that did not stop the warm Fluke...;)

Fished the concrete bulkhead in the bay first during the incoming. I had 10 shorts and 1 keeper(18"+). I had fish on all different types of Gulp, with the bigger fish coming on a 4" Nuclear Chicken Swimming Mullet. The fish were spitting up a type on small red(digested?) shrimp. Someone said they were Mantis Shrimp, but I do not think Mantis Shrimp are found inshore.

Around 10:00 I moved back and forth to different spots, but I could not find much more action. The hard NW and rain dirtied the water terribly for the outgoing tide and that made the river dirt brown then. It was much better on the incoming to no surprise.

Good day, nonetheless. I was and still am at my Grandma's house for the rest of the weekend. Yesterday, we fried the Fluke Italian and Panko style along with roasted Potatoes and Broccoli. Today we enjoyed a nice "Sunday"(Monday) Pasta dinner. Certainly a good way to end the weekend and to spend some time with my Grandmother.

Happy Memorial day to everyone. A big thank you goes out to my Grandfathers(WWII Army and Navy) and all the rest who have and still are giving us our freedom.
