Hey guys was wondering if anyone on here gets out into the bays possibly the raritan for fluke in the yak? I'm looking to get out there hopefully this weekend, but have never been in the salt in a yak. Anyone down for a trip or goes regularly enough to know where to go?

The few times I made it to the old mans house in bradley beach I saw a few yaks and small boats in shark river inlet. Theres a nice launch there and plenty of places to put in. Lotsa guys were out there saturday on the opener, but I heard the majority are shorts. I would think any inlet north or south is gonna hold fluke esp if its sandy bottom, and prob safer than the bay w boat wakes. If you do hit raritan bay, just setup and drift the bottom, theyre everywhere, if you have a FF just look for sandy bottom w no rocks/riprap and they will be there eventually

Shark River is def productive but the current will keep you busy.
I fluke all over but Raritan Bay is where I end up the most.
I use the fishfinder to find channel ledges and then work the drops.
Get out from now until the end of June
When the bay gets hot it'll be like 30 to 1 shorts - but there will be plenty of large fish in June.
