Took the 5 min. drive from my house over to da rivah. Talked to this very nice gent who has spent no less than 2 days trying to get his bass, today he finally did, a nice 20lb+ fish. An epic battle ! He was with 2 younger lads who were drop and reel along the wall for sunnies and small bullheads.
Quite a gathering along the wall. One young man told me the game warden was down there today, measured a walleye someone had caught, no problem, 21".
The bass will leave as fast as the water goes down, flash in the pan fish.
Standing on that wall people are fishing one half of one percent of that river, like I said, I'm glad I have a 17ft. canoe. :D

Nice to catch and release also. If it were a charter boat it would be bragging rights !!
Don't wanna sound like a tree hugger but everyone lives down stream of someone else, use no lawn fertilizers if you can help it.

Epic catch her fellas. My man from Winfield. Show him some love and give him some respect. He's been fishing this stretch for along time.

thats a very respectable fish by bigwater standards, but a monster for the RR or any river.......he put his time in and got paid his dues, that is what fishing is all about.......
