Raritan River, Boundbrook, Tiger!!! 5/8

Worked half a day today after getting 3 hours of sleep last night after fishing LH. Saw the rain and got really happy, said to myself, its time to hit the river. Got to the spot around 1230 and was greeted by Mark yet again, good to fish with you my friend. Go get em tomorrow! Started launching smaller lures and came with a 25 inch pickerel at the rocks. Nasty bastard bit me on the release so I threw him in the water without a pic. He was pretty fat. Mark had left and I started throwing bigger lures when I noticed the water coming up quickly. Soon after I tied on the jointed Rainbow Trout Bomber I got into a good battle with a fat 31 inch TIGER MUSKY. He jumped, he pulled but finally I got him in. What a great little fight. Shortly after that a LM smashed the 6 inch lure. He was about 2-2.5 or so. Kept casting and casting as the water level rose, hooked 1 more fish in the white water at the falls. Stopped my lure, paused for a second or 2, realized it was hooked and took off like a freight train. Came unbuttoned by the fish ladder wall. Actually I think the train HIT the wall:eek: Well if you dont know kids, that train was a Striper without a doubt. It hit the same lure I got em on last year. Great day on the MIGHTY RARITAN! YEA BUDDY!!! TIGHT LINEZ!!!:D

damn that's awesome! I need to hit that spot up I live so close. I tried for smallies under landing lane bridge the other day at high tide but nothing took. Millions of baitfish swimming around though

Thank you buncha MANIACS!!! Went back to the river today,12 or so guys in and around the river. No stripes yet. Crusty angler was down there with big black bomber running it next to the wall and almost had his rod ripped out of his hands. You never know what's lurking in big river systems. TIGHT LINEZ!!!
