Drove up for a trip after reading about the landlocked Salmon here. Ended up with a bunch of pickerel, panfish and two small largemouth. Fish were active today until about 2:00, when everything died down. Spinnerbaits did great for the pickerel/ bass in the time we used them, about 7 in an hour. Two large pickerel were caught livelining herring in about 30' of water. Tried fishing the deeper water for trout but ultimately had no luck. The weed beds were a bit of an obstacle here, but I imagine when the water warms up this place will be a bass paradise. Saw a bear cross the road on the way home. Cheers!
