Me, my brother, and cousin went to monksville yesterday from 2 to 8 and lets just say we had a great day! Wind was howling which didn't stop the fish biting, but when the wind died down it got better. Biggest fish of the day was a 24 inch pikeral which was caught by my brother. When that fish hit the bait we all thought it was a Muskie. Some of the bass were fat ready to lay the eggs I guess. One bass had a fish bite around his whole body. My cousin got a nice 14 inch black crappie. My biggest learning experience was don't eat a candy bar while fishing. I didn't even get to bite the candy bar when I got surprised from a nice bass. Only 3 fish left to catch on monksville- Muskie, walleye, and smallmouth. Any advice?
Mike

LOL... I saw you guys out there... I was with my Wife in my John boat... I think you guys were fishing the pocket by the boat launch... We were fishing the weed line heading back to the boat launch thats when My Wife caught a 24inch Musky:D ... It was sitting right on the shore line in a bout 2 ft of water... Nice job bro...

I think it will, you just need to take your time. You can always do testing under the non fishing section. Contact tech support via PM to Wilson if further help is needed.

Looks like you guys had nice action. I've had banner days there, but its a tough nut to crack. As for catching Smallies there, I'll see you there in about 2 months, say maybe between 8pm and midnight or so. Dont forget your topwater lures...

I believe they have been stocked in there, though I have never fished for them. The state has been stocking Lake Trout in there the passed few years as well.

As for my nemesis, the infamous Monksville Walleye, I have only witnessed 2 or 3 come out of there and NONE have been on the end of my line  .

I'd like to try to even catch a lake trout but the Muskies must be having a good meal with them and maybe the walleye.
