Does anyone know if there is a site that lists what beaches and areas are closed to fisherman. Was down Shark River Inlet for a recon/fishing trip late Saturday night only to find that beaches were closed. Fished the inlet without any luck as timing wasn't right as I was hoping to fish out front but couldn't. Working crazy hours and don't have time to make proper recon trips and was hoping to find a site with some general information to maximize my efforts. I usually fish the hook this time of year but I know that is closed till may 1st, just not sure if they are on schedule. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sandy Hook is on schedule for North beach and Gunnison for may 1st. Others will be open May 31. They are working on the fishing beach too but no date as of right now.I will try North beach on Friday and post what is going on. I am retired, so I move around during the week and stay off the beach on the weekends. Good fishing, see 'ya later, Robbie

Thank you for the reply. I did read an article today posted regarding a press release from Sandy Hook stating that they are on schedule to have all beaches open on the first, and that they would be utilizing portable restrooms. I also see that they just held the beach sweep this past weekend with over 800 volunteers at Sandy Hook alone, great job to all who participated and a BIG THANK YOU:) I am sorry that I did not know about this or I would have been there. If anyone knows of more of this kind of thing going on please post so that I have the opportunity to do my part.
