Yes, it was father son day on the Dirty Shrimp. Hit Petes up early for my pre ordered bushel and off we went. In the water by 7AM and fishing by 7:30. Had a slow pick thru the end of the flood with a nice 18 pounder. Jake landed his first striper on the "DS", kissed it and put it back to grow a little. Sat thru slack with hopes of an afternoon bite. It really never happened for us in the bay. Picked a few more fish and got a call that there was a bite close by, picked up the anchor and made a half mile move (thanks for the call, oh great one:D). Jake ended up getting his first keeper of the season and I found one more nice 20 pounder!

Not a ton of action for us, but we caught some fish and spent a great day on the water, the prawn is learnig as fast as I did. It's nice that he is now totally self reliant on the boat. Spoke to a few guys at the ramp and sounds like it was the same thru out the bay. The bite has moved out a bit, will try farther out, if not the ocean next time. The big fish were released today, only keeping Jakes 29 incher for dinner. Once again thanks to everyone who kept me in the loop today!

PS: found a new bow monkey for when Doug can't make it out:p

Perfect day! Catching fish with your son, especially on such a nice day on the DS.
