Fintastic Striped Bass 4/27

Headed out this morning at 630 with a great crew of Aulo, Scott, Al and his son Nick, and Seton. Plan was to see if we could find the fish on the Troll and Jig. Ran north making some here and there but they would not eat. We decided to put the wire out and instantly hooked up on a Tony Maja green spoon. Scott jumped on the rod and landed a lovely 14lb bass to start the day. Put the wire back out and trolled stopping to jig here and there. Stopped at one area to jig and saw several bass swirl on the surface but could not get them to eat. The spoons ended up working for us today. Slow day we boxed 2 bass 14 and 8 lb. Had 2 screamers and a couple little knocks. Also caught the first yellow eyed demon of the season :eek: . Ended the day with some bottom fishing and picked some short tog, sea bass(which were released) and a nice 17.5inch winter flounder. The bass are here had great marks all day. Great day on a water with a great crew.
