Big D loaded with Shad?

According to our netter on the big D , it's his best year since 1998 .
You might wanna get our there & give it a shot , should be solid right thru May in our immediate region!
I cross river several times a week when I trout fish in NJ, levels perfect!

Are there still shad by the Lambertville? Can you guys recommend any spots? I don't have a boat so only shore access for me.

Lambertville is where he's netting ! Should be some around that area for sure & his net tally's indicate run is know peaking to the south.:cool:

i do not think anyone is even targetting them it seems all the guys in philly who used to go upriver for eem got bass brain, 5lb shad fights way harder then a 20lb bass imo

Jmurr , your very right about a 5 lb shad. I fished North of the Water Gap from shore last night and I landed 9 shad. All on flutter spoons and 6 lb test. It's prime time for shad fishing. Get out there !!!
