Tried out my favorite nearby undisclosed location for some bucketmouths. The wind was cranking but they were biting. Soft plastics like brush hogs, senkos and lizards were the ticket. Lost alotta tackle, missed alotta bites, slid on the bank and got wet and muddy, but still ended the day with 15 total :)

On my way out, there were 2 other people fishing. I noticed one of them put a plastic bag on the ground. When i walked past there were a couple nice fish he was apparently taking illegally. Such a shame that people still dont know good ethics and that this place will be outfished within the next year or so

I am in no way in favor of keeping largemouth or smallmouth, givin their slow growth rate.....That being said i'm just curious what was illegal about their catch and keep??

Btw , nice catch and report!!

any water temp?

between April 15-June 15 its catch and release only for both large and smallmouth, its out of the harvesting season right now.
And the water did feel abnormally warm, like in the mid 60's im guessing.

If you see this again don't hesitate to call "Operation Game Thief". 1-800-222-0456. I have called that number and it works. Save the number in your phone.
Congrats on the nice catch. Keep the reports coming.
