How deep was it? What did it hit? Did it look it had been spawning? I've heard they are currently spawning...

Got it on a blue and white plastic swim bait on a jig head. Some nice perch also in the same spot - a rocky drop off for about 10-40ft near the shoreline

They are in fact on the spawn and the (kill) season is closed until may 1st but the fishing is pretty good. I do know for a fact that they are out writing tickets for them so everyone be aware of the rules if you decide to head out to find a few.

I'm pretty sure most are aware walleye is closed except for the Delaware river. Game on for everything else !
