Hey folks,
I'm looking for any resources, websites, magazines etc for someone just getting started (feel free to answer as well, but I realize it could be tedious lol). Most of my fishing experience was using Wonder Bread to catch sunnies off my grandfather's dock on Lake Hopatcong 20+ years ago.
I'm looking for info on lures and bait. Beginner friendly waters would also be welcome. I went out to Lake Musconetcong last weekend and was skunked. Walmart was out of fresh bait, so I got some trout pellets, and also tried a few of the smaller plastic worms I had. No boat so any place I go, or fish I try for have to be able to be caught from shore.
I'm from NYC, so anything North East is good. My folks are on the Morris/Sussex border so those areas are mostly where I'm looking.
Oh yeah, I've been dying to do lake or water-front camping too, but haven't been able to find places with tent sites on the water.
Thanks in advance
