Spruce Run 4/8

Hit Spruce Run yesterday 4/8 10am-4pm. Water temp started at 48.5 ended around 52. Fishing was slow to average. Fish were all shallow. Total for the day 1 - 25' 8lb pike, 2-average size largemouth (2 lbs range),2 crappie (1 monster 16 to 17" almost 3lbs) missed a much bigger one also, and about 3 good swing and misses. Anyone out there have any Merrill info like water temp and what not pm me. Pretty sure we didnt spot burn here ok Josh lol! Good luck guys!

Good day and glad we got out there before next weeks
tournament which has about 30 boats entered so far:eek:

Oh yeah ,,, hit a unoin county pond this mornin , went 4 for 6
on the largemouth...Jig and pig....Biggest fish had a 4lb. frame but weighed
5lbs....Huge gut..Held him for a minute cause i was in awe of his enourmous
belly...It was almost too hot by 11 a.m. so i left....Gonna hit a WTS
this afternoon wit da fly rod...:rolleyes:

The Smallies are starting to wake up. I hit the river on my lunch break and picked up a nice healthy 16" or so on a lure meant for something MUCH bigger lol...
