Opening Day Trout 4/6

Great to see the guys at Dukes this morning. The fishing was slow again at the big river. Managed 1 Brown, holdover, @ 14 inches at that spot. Moved down to Nevius, picked up 2 Brookies on a spinner. Packed it in around noon and headed for home waters, Passaic river is loaded. Bob and I limited out quick, nothing big, all cookie cutter Brookies. Must have caught about 50-60 in 2 hours between the both of us. Mine were caught on spinners, Bob got his on the crawlers. All in all, it was a great day on the water, just needed a little patience. NJF guys, your all great, bunch of ABSOLUTE NUTZ!!! Long day of fishing leads to the OPENING DAY FISH FRY! Come on down, the BEERS are on me. We'll have steak, ribs and fresh TROUT on the grill by 6. TIGHT LINES!!!:D

Glad you had a good day. I stopped by Duke's around noon after getting skunked at the Capoolong. Should have been there early for the meet and greet. Tomorrow is another day. Trying a new area tomorrow at dawn.
