Hi! first off i'm new to the site and have been reading a lot about the Delaware river. Im thinking maybe i would like to try it out this season with my boat but I dont even know where to start. I have a 14.5ft V-hull with a 9.9 ( i hope that would do the trick). I was wondering where launches are near decent fishing areas and what areas its possible for you to run a boat in? and what areas to steer clear (i.e. shallows? rocks? dams?) Thanks!

Lots of launches all up and down the river, a lot depends on what your close to and what you want to fish for. Deep V with a 9.9 will do you just fine, that's what I use. Although a 125 jet with a flat bottom would be on my wish list for the river, the 9.9 allows me to go on the reservoirs also. I fish the river mainly for shad and launch and fish where the Musky dumps in, it's close to home.
