5 Bass Limit Tournament question

I was watching the Bassmaster Tournament this weekend and I have a real naive question. When you have 5 Limit per day tournament format, do you keep the small ones and release them when you catch a bigger one while keeping the limit to 5 basses?

Yup, they weigh em up and release the smaller of the bunch.........
