Not too long before all ponds and lakes are ice free. Its been a loooong winter. Anxious to get out and try the new lures & gear. Got my sights on a few small ponds in central NJ that hold bass/pickerel. Slow retrieving spinnerbaits near cover usually works after ice out. We shall see.

I like spinnerbaits too, althought seems like a lure that has lost alot of popularity Not too many quality choices out there anymore. I started making my own. Half ounce black with big copper colorado is a awesome night bait. I love the hilldebrant Tin Roller but can't find them anymore. Use some of the BOOYAH's also. All we need is another BASSMASTER WIN on a spinnerbait and the shelfs will be loaded again. In a way kinda glad they faded away cause most guys don't throw them so it's something a lot of fish haven't seen in a while.
