Passaic River Pike 2/26

Had a few hours to kill before work today, so off to the Passaic I went. River is running a little high but fishable. I was working it thoroughly without a touch for about an hour. Finally came up with 1 fish, not big, but fat. This little guy was 30 inches and real, real chunky. Im not sure on the weight, but for 30 inches this fish was heavy. Not a banner day, but a fish was caught and I satisfied my toothy craving. TIGHT LINES!!!:D

Njbassman and I went out to the Passaic as well today. Both of us got the old Skunkaroo.

We fished for about 3 hours, and not a bite, but hey it beats watching the idiot box.

You're right the river was a bit high, and still a little ice in slack water areas. We saw a 5'' monster crayfish, cruising along the bank. Where are the Smallies..j/k, Soon!

I'm still looking to satisfy my own toothy craving! Screw it, I'm gonna journey to the kitchen and make a "Black Tooth Grin"...:cool:

I was out that day to. Mostly to test out the work I did on the jboat but threw a few casts while I was there. Good news is, no leaks!! Bad news, no fish either, lol. While I was at the bait shop I saw a pic of a guy with a BIG 40" that was caught this past weekend.

Pretty sure it was behind Kennedy in Paterson. Anyone go into totowa b&t lately, it's on the wall, BEAST!!!! Had to ask if it was from the river cause I didn't believe it...

I was going to try over there yesterday but it looked like a SWAT team round up goin on so I kept it movn, lol.......
