Just curious if anyone could help me out. I just moved to the state and I was hoping anyone could point me in the right direction for some nice trout waters. I'm in the northern part of the state in West Milford, Passaic County. Thanks in advance for any advice.

For Trout waters, I'd say Wanaque River and Ramapo River. Both are very close to you. If you own a boat, the state recently started stocking Lake Trout in Monksville Reservoir, which borders West Milford. Green Turtle Pond in West Milford also receives a stocking of Trout.
BTW, congrats on moving into an awesome area for fishing. My girlfriend lived in West Milford for the first year and a half of our relationship, so I got to know the area and a lot of the surrounding bodies of water. Monksville Reservoir, Greenwood Lake, Green Turtle Pond, Sheppard Lake, Echo Lake, Canistear Reservoir, etc., there are a ton of good bodies of water for Bass, Trout, Panfish, Walleye and Muskie in your area. Enjoy.

NJ has some great trout streams that get stocked in the spring and fall and have many big holdovers and pretty decent wild population.A few of my favorite are south branch, musky, pequest, and the flatbrook.
