fishing the deep points on lake hopatcong this weekend.talked with a friend
who was out yesterday.said vthere is 5-6 inches.walleyes and stripers!!!!!!!

There was 2 guys on cranberry on my way to work this morning. Looks OK but I do know a guy went thru last weekend on sunday in shallow water. Im gonna scout up that way 2moro, its been cold all week barely above freezing except for the rain/mix day we had. That prob added to the ice and anything thats been locked up is probably solid, anything else I wouldnt try its been super windy all week

Hows the walk out to the point? Is the ice consistent? Im heading out there at like 10 am. Going to walk on by Barnes and make my way to the point. If the weather holds up, ill be out there sunday as well.

Sussex county and West Milford should have similer conditions

Drove by skunksville planning to jig for a few hours on the south end...need the boat for that...went up to wawayanda...jigged the front for a while 7/8 inches no readings...went to the back easy walking with take...4/5 inches..got this 13in lm threw him back and kept the perch... Tried the deep hole 85 ft..Lotta bait 20 ft off bot...hope the ice holds trying to get back there with some fat heads Mon...

Talked to a guy when i was leaving about 3...did pretty good...4 pick 3 lm and 2 perch...oh yeah he had 8 tip up and a jigging stick...all in a fifty foot radius

Fished Hopatcong from 10- 330. Got 30 Perch from 9-13 inches and 1 pickeral at 24 inches. Great to be out there today, nobody in sight. All the anglers were by Dows. Wanted to fish the point but nobody was around to see me if I fell in. Kept 8 Perch, nice dinner for tomorrow night. I measured 7-8 inches where I was. Be out there again Sunday looking to hit the deep water. TIGHT LINES!!!
