Don't forget, if you catch a big one, you get extra credit from the State of New Jersey for it. :D

Pretty cool program. Gives you something to base your catches on.
I applied for and received 5 in 2012. They'll eventually be framed and hung on my Man Wall  .

You get women? I didn't know that! I caught a few dozen fish that would qualify in the past year, I gotta start registering them!

Had a five pound rainbow this past year that would have qualified but didn't enter it either! Be nice to get a little recognition but ain't that big of a deal. Got a few pics and that was good enough for me......I'd rather get recongition from the guy's on the site!!!!LOL

I have 4 framed - 3 LMB(21",22" and 24" respectively) and one pickerel(26"). Also have awards for same from Pa's Angler Award Program.
One new caveat for this year is that a ruler/yardstick MUST be in the photo with the fish for C&R entries. Not just in the photo, but placed along side the fish for accurate size measurement  So much for the honor system. You think they were handing out cash for big fish. Also they encourage C&R yet they are pretty much making you mishandle the fish by laying it flat on the ground and placing a ruler along it. Fish generally do not lie still and u could be standing there for over a minute. That's a death sentence for most fish. No thanks.
