Hit the passaic today which has been treating me well lately and it didn't disappoint. Was there for about an hour around dusk and picked up 2 nice pike one being my new PB. First one I got was about 6lbs and 28inches on a firetiger husky jerk, and the second...well was a beast. I threw into a tiny pocket that looked real fishy and on my second cast go slammed by what I thought first was a carp. Well after the fish ripped drag out 3 times I finally got a look at it and almost fell into the water. Almost lost the fish twice once where he went under a huge log and the second due to the fact he absolutely swallowed my jerkbait . So after all that I got my boga on him and he weighed 15lbs. Took a quick measurement, snapped a couple photos, and away he went. Fish measured at 36' and by far my biggest pike. I was alone so unfortunately pics aren't the greatest but you'll still get a good picture of it. Last picture was the first one I got and the smaller one.

Hey andy the link is on there. I can't seem to figure out how to attach the photos yet from the phone. Anyone have any idea how to do that?

The river is rich with a diverse assortment of life; that's a rare Pumpkinis Bucketillia, native to urban drainages and waterways. It requires a lot of turbidity, so naturally it does well in the Passaic.

Lol you can definitely find some strange stuff along the passaic. Fish slow and off the flowing water. Any pocket that looks real fishy with submerged debris or cover to protect from the current will more than likely hold some pike. Get out there this week and I'm sure you'll get into some descent fish. Try to avoid the spots that get a lot of pressure,, google maps is key!
