Jan. 10-13. I go to renew my RVTA and KDC memberships and chew the fat with the F&G folk. Not sure what day I will go. True, maybe not as good as years past but if you are not fishing and have nothing to do I guess go and get a beer and some beef jerky.

After last year, I'd definately say 80/20 hunting/fishing. However, you never know what kind of food/grilling stuff you'll find. :D

We go every year and always come home with something..like great Hot Sauces, big bones for my little dogs, a fleece jacket and last but NOT LEAST... A big PASTRAMI SANDWICH from Harold's!!! Its an Outdoor Show with a little of everything and lots of hunting

Just got home from show and was disappointed again as i say every year this is my last time for that show. Just very close to home and was hoping there would be a little more fishing stuff but ended up there was LESS than last year So if your looking for some deals on tackle here's a good one: SAVE YOUR GAS & MONEY AND DON'T BOTHER GOING!!!!! Talked to the RV Guys for a bit and KNEE DEEP Guy as well as MUSKY INC. and MEGASTRIKE TEAM too. Took my free issues of the fisherman and on the water and was OUT the door never to return unless the show changes dramatically. And bummed didn't see STRIPER GIRL either !!!!!LOL

I somehow managed to spend 2 hours at the show, although more than a 1/2 hour of that was the animal show for the kids and my son did the "mining" for minerals at one of the booths selling rocks. lol

It's more of a family outing than something I can get my fishing-fix met with. I renewed my RVTA membership while there and got only a few things from the Worm Bar this year as I'm trying to scale down on my tackle box and need to make use of things I got from the Worm Bar the last 2 years.

I did get some jerky though. And toffee. If the venue were an hour away from me I'd probably not go but it's close enough to home and has enough to keep the kids happy for the day.

Plus I don't get too many chances to win a $5,000 gift card for Bass Pro Shops. I didn't win but I'll get telemarketers calling me about my "free" vacation that I only have to lay out a few hundred bucks to collect. :(
