Mercer lake????

Was there today for soccer touney, used to fish there LONG time ago, Anybody fish there this past year and how was it? Looks like might be a little more manageable for muskie due to its size. Anybody catch any there? I've
heard rumors that it's a sleeper for them. Supposed to be good for crappies too. Used to do decent bass fishing there and was looking a spot tiny bit closer to home and no ramp fee LOL NO PAY! NO FISH FOR YOU!!!!

fished there 3-4 years ago to find the DEAD SEA! We tried everything in the TB and some and came up empty. Even worse, toward the back of the lake lost all juice to the trolling motor:eek: A long paddle back to the launch for us. Learned my lesson and now have the backup battery. Have not been back to repeat the adventure.

Its my favorite lake to fish. Fish it 5-6 times a year. Nice bass, tigers and big crappie.

Fished Mercer alot this past year, was never skunked and prolly took 8 or 9 bass in the 18" to 20" range. It's a tough lake to learn but the bass are there for sure. Used to fish it alot way back before they put the marina in. Was great then and alot less traffic. I don't mess with tigers or crappie. Put Mercer right behind Assunpink and in the summer you don't have such a bad weedy condition and doesn't get near the hammering as Assunpink. Liking deep/ gold cranks. After the spawn find the holes. Best day last year was 12 or 13 fish, most in the 14" range.
