Thanksgiving Day trout

Before I met up with the fam to shove turkey and stuffing in our faces, I got out for a few hours in the morning to try my luck at the North Branch near Far Hills. I fished a ~1 mile stretch with a Pins Minnow and managed two nice rainbows, both kept for the table. Water was low and clear. Both fish were in moderately fast water and hit light.

Great video...nice fish too. Looked like two nice fish for dinner...great explanation too with the demo on how to bleed out the fish. Makes me want to get out this weekend myself!!! Great job!!!

nothing big, but had a fun, surprising time with some small stockies (and one little toothy critter) on a local monmouth country stream, Friday after Thanksgiving!

total surprise as I went there expecting panfish... was hitting them nonstop with lots of long distance releases for about an hour and a half until sunset.
