So if you were planning on hitting say Spruce Run or Round Valley you can forget about it. I would like to see how big the waves get on Round Valley tho.

I drove all the way to Round Valley only to find the gates locked.

For the main park or the gate to the causeway in the boatramp area?
I think it was 2 years ago someone launched a kayak when a storm was starting to roll in. They found his body the next day. Probably best that they limit those challenged with common sense access to the water.

It is definately for the best...I've seen the park open with four foot white caps out on the lake...Of course the NO BOATING lights were on but if they close the park it becomes alot more idiot proof...Well said moz
I would really like to see this storm fill up SR...I enjoy fishing that res at full pool...The past few weeks are almost the lowest i've seen it in over ten years

I just took a drive by the Valley- not a white cap on the place.
