Big Bow Today 10/25

Decided to go out for some trout today. Headed first to Roosevelt park pond since it was the closest stocked spot for me. Never been there but the park was decent, only saw a few other anglers. Fished for an hour and a half, no bites, but saw one giant bow swim by at one point.

Picked up and headed to the Raritan. Within the first half hour I missed hookin up with 2 decent fish. Seemed like they would just barely nip at my lure and I would just pull it away. Little while later I hooked up with a tiny brown. Moved on a bit more and hooked up with a hefty bow. Saw him come up and grab my spinner. Waited a second or two before setting, and as he turned, I hooked up nicely and off he went!! Total for the day, 2 caught and 2 lost, but that one fish made it all worth the trip!!!!

It's always tough to take a picture of yourself holding a fish. :)

I just about to bitch about worthless fishing reports when I found this great report. I hate reports that don't give a location or even a nice picture to stimulate us bored prisoners-of-the-cubicle.

They just read, "I went somewhere and caught some fish." Like, why even bother making that a new thread?
