Went out for a bit tonight. Tried that "downstream" spot. Started off with a couple DINK smallies on rubbers and decided move on. Before I did, I ran into a bowfisherman!! "Shot" the sh!t for a few, he told me he recently took a few nice carp!!
First 30 min at the next spot yielded a couple DINK bullheads. Then, I threw out 2 linez, 1 liver, 1 shiner. Quickly hooked up a decent bullhead on the shiner. As I'm lifting him out of the water, I look over and see my other rod take a dive!! Almost gone till I grabbed it and set the hook on a decent channel. Pulled a little drag and all. Not huge, but, gotta love a double!!
Few more small bullheads after that and called it a night around 9. Threw a large crankbait for a while but no strikes at either spot.
