Fun day on the South Branch

Had a fun day with my son. Fishing was kind of slow. we caught a few small mouths, then caught this nice 19 incher. Saw lots of wildlife - Owl, hawks, bald eagle, and lots of aquatic birds.

a 19" smallie is a minster, esp. caught in a river it must have fought like a wild bronco....Thumbs up!!

Seen a huge owl one time wading the North Branch. The thing swooped down out of the trees and went right along the river, scared the bajesus outta me. The owl was quickly followed by at least 10 crows going bonkers.
