Woke up with the work alarm even though I had the day off. Tossed the kayak in a local spot and within a bit had some action. Had a follow up to the boat by a really solid fish but no dice. Few casts later my lure gets hammered. Got the fish to the boat when he decided to turn around and splash some yummy river water into my face :p . Solid fish, CPR'd, and back to fishing. Had a few bumps on one retrieve, then a hookup with an average, yet healthy looking Smallie. On my way out, got one more Pike, about the same size of the first. Both solid fish that put up a great fish all the way to the boat and then some. No tape measure this time, left it in the car! Was off the water by noon, left them biting.

Real nice fish. Went out Saturday we had a nice multi pike day. Even had two jump out of the water into the boat lol one which jumped into my lap hooking my shirt near my chest with the other hook. Interesting lol

Yeah, as you guys were launching we were headin upstream. First place I ever had to get out and walk it, lol. Good thing it was sand and not mud.
Not my usual grounds, but I found a spot to park and "toss" the boat in.

Yup, that was us. Kind of a slow night for us too. Had a few, nothing huge though. Went to take a picture of the first one I got, probably a 25" when I realized I left the memory card in my laptop. Fail lol. Glad there were no beasts that night.

Very nice. Still haven't caught one of those yet......but I have never fished the Passaic either. Might be time for a change of scenery. Do they get mor active in the fall as well?
