Lambertville / New Hope Fishin'

Never fished the Delaware before and am spending the weekend in New Hope. Hope to get some fishing in...if only for an hour or two.

Any location recommendations for shore access and for tackle ?

river north of town gets crowded with tubers & boats as the day goes on.

I'd suggest taking an early early drive north of town & work some river access (maybe check out bulls island or one of the launch areas). The bridge structures are usually a good starting point.

Water isn't so high now & temp is nice so plan on wading in.

I pretty consistently pull some solid smallies with blue fox, rapalas or rooster tails.
