Yikes...was there last week in the kayak. Had a nice mercury laden bass hit my spook lol.

Bassload I will be sending you a private message regarding the Pike from there. I've fished there easily 50 times in my life and have yet to land a Pike from there. Fished exclusively for Pike there Friday night (all big flashy lures) and only got the Bass, which I've caught hundreds of from there.

Bassload and I went out there tonight from 4-dark only managed 3 lm nothing great. Slow day. Skunk city I can verify the pike I was with him last week. It was a nice one, wound up spitting the hook after a few minutes. Had a shot at netting him but he swam out of the net b4 I had a chance to lift it up.

Don't ya love when that happens? :p I netted one for my buddy last week in the kayaks on Pompton River that decided to do the alligator death roll, then jump out of my net. Luckily one treble was in his mouth and the other treble stuck in my net, so it kept him around long enough for some pictures and video.

nice, yeah it sucked. I was more upset than him. He was just happy that we got to see it and it put up a good fight. It jumped clear out of the water. Had to push 15-20lbs. I told him to give it a few hours.. it'll sink in! When he yelled out " I don't have a leader on" I knew I may only get one shot at netting him

That sounds like a SERIOUS fish to be battling without a leader! What area of the lake did you guys get him?

On a Senko??? Please don't tell me wacky rigged! I've used a Senko there more times then I can remember and have never got a Pike on one lol.

lol it wasn't wacky rigged. The ones we caught recently in the passaic were on senkos too
