Good day of fishing on the Big D with the whole family 8/5

Well we decided to do a little fishing on the Delaware before the bad weather hit. Had the whole family on the river trying to catch some small mouth and whatever else was around. All together we got a bunch of small mouth, one monster 21 inch smallie that probably was about 5lbs, one walleye, a few sunfish, and a rock bass. All were released and ready to be caught again. Had a great time fishing with the whole family and can't wait to do it again soon. Only fished for a few hours and headed back home.

Wow! Looks like a really great day on the river.
I got skunked on the Delaware earlier this year and haven't been back since. Maybe I should consider investing an afternoon on that river, again.

I used senkos and rapalas, my brother and father used hellgrammites at first and then switched to senkos and spinnerbaits. My brother got his walleye on a spinnerbait and I got my big small mouth on a senko wacky rigged. Everything that we tried caught smallies. We fished a section along Rt.46

Thanks! Yeah, I got to get out there and do it again it was a good time maybe even grab a canoe next time so we can cover more of the river.
